Dr smiles offers dental care to talent-show dancers shamed by Alex Mukulu over body odor

Blessings keep following The Real Dance Crew, a trio of teenagers hailing from Jinja. The boys aged, 13 to 16, became overnight celebrities after Alex Mukulu, a veteran arts critic publicly shamed them over bad body odor during their audition for a local talent search show dubbed Yolesa Ekitone.

Ugandan RnB sensation Bruno K immediately ran to their rescue and has since then taken them under his wings. The boys were yesterday received by Dr Smiles, a renown cosmetic dentist based in Buķoto.

The boys received free dental checkup and are also set to go back and receive scaling, polishing and extraction for one with a retained root on Sunday.

“It is a great pleasure to work with The Real Dance Crew. They were treated very unfairly by someone they looked up to and it is up to us to ensure that they do not give up on their dance dream,” the dentist said after doing the checkup.

Dr Smiles (real name John Vianney Sserumaga) also called out Alex Mukulu for the harsh words said to the boys.

“Mr Mukulu was right but his presentation of his view is what caused the trouble. It wasn’t done like a parent would and these are young boys,” he said, adding that, “He should have met them after the show and talked to them in private away from the cameras.”

Meanwhile Bruno K has scolded Ugandans who think he is taking advantage of the boys and using them for his own personal gain.

“I am just trying to help the boys but I have seen so many negative comments online but nevertheless I am doing my part in helping the boys. I hope everyone else will do theirs,” Bruno K said to Confessions256.
